And for Elicia, losing quite a few loved ones in such a short time-frame hasn't entirely exhausted her youthful determination. She has a super hero to look out for her papa. And she has Jack's special compass. The last few days she's been outside her school with said magical device, pacing back and forth, watching the small needle turn and turn with no set destination. It's what she's doing today, pacing and watching it never stop. They weren't here. The people see was waiting for, that is. It's what she wanted most, and 'cause they're not here the compass says no.

Hey! Today I read a really good book; it was called the Swan Princess! I didn't know some of the words, but I knew mooost of them... It must feel really funny to change into animals and stuff. But the worst is getting turned into a frog! 'Cause you'd be all slimy and green and tiny! And you'd have to get a kiss, even though you're a frog...

But I'd kiss a frog! I-if it meant helping someone change back, I'd do it! ... Maybe on the cheek!

And if it was a prince maybe he'd give me a cool crown for helping him!

I wouldn't kiss a big lion, though, because they like to scratch! Unless they say they're friendly. But I don't know anyone who knows a friendly lion...

Oh, it is! A mean magician person puts a curse on the pretty princess and she turns into a pretty swan during day time! Her prince keeps looking or her, but he doesn't know she's a bird, so he has a hard time finding her!

[Elicia will get company in her pacing in the form of a little monkey boy, pacing after her a few steps behind, watching her curiously. He was on his way back to the restaurant with groceries, hands full with plastic bags with what he thinks was needed, when he spotted the child.

Even in a place like Luceti, Goku doesn't usually get to see many kids of around his age or younger, specially because he doesn't go to school. So seeing Elicia is a rare occasion.]

[It has been awhile since Keiichi talked with Elicia, or even saw her despite being neighbors basically. But life had been hectic and once he returned from a kidnapping and found out that Hughes wasn't there... He lost any reason to drop by the house. Part of him wants to keep doing that, less people to care about and worry, but Elicia is a child and she doesn't deserve that. And she's obviously doing her best in not getting down, even when she has even more reasons than anyone to be so.]

A frog but not a lion... Would you kiss a bear, Elicia-chan? Because I was one for a while, no one tried to kiss me but now I wonder if that would have made it go away faster than it did.
