And she has Jack's special compass. The last few days she's been outside her school with said magical device, pacing back and forth, watching the small needle turn and turn with no set destination. It's what she's doing today, pacing and watching it never stop. They weren't here. The people see was waiting for, that is. It's what she wanted most, and 'cause they're not here the compass says no.

Hey! Today I read a really good book; it was called the Swan Princess! I didn't know some of the words, but I knew mooost of them... It must feel really funny to change into animals and stuff. My papa's name is Maes but everyone calls him Hughes, and my big bro's name is Sanji! He's got a curly eyebrow! And my papa wears glasses, and he's got hair like this! [She motions her hair back, as if slicked.] You'll remember?

But I've always been like this, I was this big and all when I was born. Dunno why.

I think you'd be a lot smaller than me at first! I was really, really tiny before I got this big!
