31st Teddy Bear [Backdated to Friday | Action/Video]

[Action]

[Life goes on.

And for Elicia, losing quite a few loved ones in such a short time-frame hasn't entirely exhausted her youthful determination. She has a super hero to look out for her papa. And she has Jack's special compass. The last few days she's been outside her school with said magical device, pacing back and forth, watching the small needle turn and turn with no set destination. It's what she's doing today, pacing and watching it never stop. They weren't here. The people see was waiting for, that is. It's what she wanted most, and 'cause they're not here the compass says no.

Well, she'd just try again tomorrow!]

[... it's been a long time since she really tried to talk to everyone. She smiles big for the camera.]

Hey! Today I read a really good book; it was called the Swan Princess! I didn't know some of the words, but I knew mooost of them... It must feel really funny to change into animals and stuff. But the worst is getting turned into a frog! 'Cause you'd be all slimy and green and tiny! And you'd have to get a kiss, even though you're a frog...

But I'd kiss a frog! I-if it meant helping someone change back, I'd do it! ... Maybe on the cheek!

Definitely on the cheek!

And if it was a prince maybe he'd give me a cool crown for helping him!

[Siiigh. That sounds so cool.]

I wouldn't kiss a big lion, though, because they like to scratch! Unless they say they're friendly. But I don't know anyone who knows a friendly lion...

Really. He's a good king as well, at least no one has complains with him. We haven't had a war between humans for the control of the land in centuries.

[Well, there was the Red Ribbon but they weren't trying to overtake the king so it doesn't count.]

[There's a pause here, this child... She knows what a war is? So young and knowing it, for someone who has never seen a war or anything close to it until Piccolo appeared when she was at least ten years older than this kid... It's quite sad, even if the child hasn't experienced one, she shouldn't know what they are yet.]

You're right, sweetie. We don't have to have them and nothing good comes from them. You're really smart, your mama must be proud of you.

She must be to have a child as smart as you, she's a very good mama. You have to take good care of her so she can teach you lots of more things.

Good girl.

[What was she saying before? Oh yeah, her world.]

Elicia, do you like old legends?

[Voice]

[identity profile] curiousgenius.livejournal.com 2011-11-09 06:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, then I'll tell you one from my world. It's said that in the ancient past, centuries ago, God created seven magic balls and spread them all around the world. By themselves the balls were nothing but pretty crystals, but if one passed the tests and collected the seven of them, they would be granted the power to summon Shenron, the magical dragon who will grant them any wish they have.

It's said that in the past someone wished to become a king, and the dragon granted it! How's that for a cool story?

Magic dragons can. Or so says the legend... Though... Can you keep a secret?

[She lowers her voice a bit, conspiratorial, though it's mostly to add flavor to it than because it's really a secret, which is why she's not putting up a filter.]

The dragon isn't a legend, he's real and I've had him grant me and my friends wishes. Without him our world would be a disaster by now. And he really can grant anything, I've seen him grant people small things and even resurrect tons of people at once. But it's a secret, because if bad people learn about it they will want to use him to do bad things.

[But you're a good girl so you may know.]

He was big and green! With bright red eyes and horns... He looked quite impressive and very serious, but he's a good guy. Always tries his best to fulfill wishes.

[Well, kind of. At least when he can't do something he tells them and lets them choose another wish. Though that one was Namek's Shen Ron, but probably there isn't much of a difference, right?]

A bit, and he wasn't that nice. Not a chit-chat guy, you know? He was just "I'll grant you any one wish you have" and "Tell me what your wish is". Just business, and he didn't even care if the wish was a bad one or not, though I suppose it's hard to know that at times, specially if you spend so much time in another dimension or something.

[Voice]

[identity profile] curiousgenius.livejournal.com 2011-11-23 11:58 am (UTC)(link)
He really should.

[Bulma laughs lightly.]

But then again he spends a lot of time all alone inside the balls, you know? After a wish is made they turn into mere stones for a whole year and then you have to gather them all again and he's always called only to grant a wish. I think I would be grumpy as well if that happened to me.

That's so very sweet of you. But first you would have to wish for there to be other dragons, I think there are only two in the whole universe and both are male. Can't make a dragon family with just that.

We don't know how stuffy it is there. And being alone in a big and wide world is just as bad as being alone in a small and tiny place, don't you think?
