25th Teddy Bear [Voice/Action][TWO DAYS]
[[Nighttime; June 23rd]]
[Elicia had had a tough week.
Shuffle, shuffle—the sound of turning blankets and small feet moving back and forth through them. She's been rolling in her sleep for a few minutes now, flipping her hidden journal into a little book tepee, while it records the buzzing air and soft incoherent murmurings of a child dreaming. They're not happy dreams, after a while, and it takes but a moment before she's wide awake and horrified and crawling under her blankets with her mouth in a shaky near-crying line. The journal. That's right.
She reaches over and opens it up all the way, unable to see anything in the dark. Her voice is watery and lined with a sort of innocent, hurt desperation when she speaks.]
[Voice]
Please tell me a story. I wanna hear stories, if anyone... wants to talk... I like them a lot. I—I promise I'll go back to sleep, but I just wanna hear one...
[Pretty, pretty please...
But despite stories, sometime in the night, she rises up from her bed and patter-pitters quickly into her parents' room. Scary, they're too scary—and they could be real. Because she's seen scary real things like it before. And the last thing she wanted was a blue-eyed woman slowly creaking out of her closet, like she kept imagining, over and over and over again...]
[[Daytime; June 24th]]
[It was a cold snap, today. Elicia wore her poofy pink jacket for the occasion. Truth be told, she's had a very tiring night of trying to sleep, and she'd failed at it fairly well. There were a mesh-up of things. Scary things. She didn't want to draw any of them, so she decided on focusing her attention to playing. By the end of her short-lived playtime outside, she's laying on her arm on the front steps of her house, the fake pink sword Law gave her still clamped in her hand.
A good nap. There was nothing scary... Just good. That was important. It's a good thing children bounce back well enough, even if only for a while, because she's got a content air about her later on in the day. Anyone who wants to visit, now's a great time to; she'll be drawing funny circles all over the ground outside with a stick. Clapping her hands and smacking them. And nothing happens. :|
But she sure as hell is pretending something's happening.]

Bam!! Now you can't stand against my dirt alchemy!! [throws dirt up with her hands at her big teddy bear >:^(
HA, screw you, teddy, you've got dirt on your head!]
You'd better give up soon, or else I'll have to use my water attack next!!
[AND THEN YOU'LL BE MUDDY!!!]
((ooc: Just make it clear which day you're replying to and all that. I have faith in you. |Db))

[Voice]
[He even grins and throws his fist in the air dramatically - his right fist, mind, as his left arm's currently in a sling and fairly useless.]
So... [Now he taps his finger against his chin in thought. "One time"? No... "A long time ago"? No... hm. Let's go with the classic.]
Once upon a time, a princess named Alicia lived in a big, grand kingdom called... Huh. [He glances at the journal with a little smile.] What do you think it should be called?
Re: [Voice]
[Give her a second, naming is very difficult business.]
Am... estra! Amestra!
[seems legit]
[Voice]
One day, though, her father suddenly grew ill! The queen was left to rule the kingdom, and no one realized that it was actually the king's most trusted adviser who was poisoning him!
No one, that is... except for Alicia. She had watched him pour poison into her father's soup while talking to the evil king of their enemy kingdom... [Give him a second, Luke's pretty bad at naming things too.] ... Mohs. But when she tried telling everyone else about this, no one would listen to her! They figured she was too young, that she must've saw it wrong, because the king's most trusted adviser would never poison their king!
So, Alicia did the only thing she could do. [He fists his hand and frowns for effect.] She grabbed her father's old warrior clothes and ran away from Amestra to defeat the evil king, Mohs, and save her kingdom from him as well as reveal the nature of the adviser!
Re: [Voice]
She's a fighter princess!!
What happens next, Mr. Luke? How'd she get to the evil, mean ol' king??
[Voice]
When Alicia was little, she was given a horse called... he was called... Asch? [And he immediately cringes. Ooh, if Asch heard that, he'd KILL him. But he can't help thinking of Asch when hearing about a fighter princess, which reminds of Natalia... And besides, he can go with it.]
Asch, right. Because... he was the color of ashes. Now that Alicia's grown up, she's a master horse rider, and so she rode out to the evil kingdom! But the pathway to it was guarded by really nasty and creepy monsters, so Alicia used her bow and arrow and her sword of justice to defeat them! With each monster, she and Asch grew closer and closer to Mohs' kingdom. Even the sky got darker, and thunder rumbled when they got near it!
But Alicia wasn't scared. She loved her kingdom too much to give up just because of some scary noises! When she was right near the Mohs' palace, it almost got too dark to see - but Alicia's love was so bright that her own sword lit the way for her by shining a beam of light! [He holds up his arm, as if to show how the light is shining through the darkness.]
Re: [Voice]
A-and then?! Then what happened, when she broke up all the dark stuff?
[Voice]
Mohs wanted to rule the entire world, starting with Amestra, and he'd do anything to get it, even turn into a giant monster himself! But Alicia wasn't scared, and neither was Asch. The two fought with all their might! Mohs was strong, but he was no match for Alicia's love and Asch's will!
Finally, with one last strike of the Alicia's sword, Mohs was brought down. He turned back into a human, and all of the darkness inside him fled from Alicia's light. He was arrested on the spot, and the light shone down on all of the kingdom, transforming all of the monsters into the humans that they used to be!
And so, Alicia rode triumphantly back to the kingdom of Amestra with her most trusted horse, Asch, and the two were celebrated as heroes! They were able to cure the king, and you know what? It turns out the adviser was being controlled by Mohs! He didn't even remember what happened!
Re: [Voice]
[Voice]
[He grins... though that softens to a smile as he shifts and leans a little closer to the journal.]
You know what, Elicia? I know a real fighter princess back home who's just like Alicia.
Re: [Voice]
Who was that?
[Voice]
[Pause, and then, with a slightly wider smile:] She's also my cousin.
Re: [Voice]
[Voice]
Re: [Voice]
Why's her name so long? Is it something to do with being a princess?
[Voice]
[Might as well not tell her that the person she's marrying is not really a prince, and is, in fact, going to be him... Because that might be weird for her.]
Re: [Voice]
[*_* princesses always get the cool stuff, like entire places]
Then what'll the country be called?
[Voice]
The countries will remain the same. Lanvaldear will just be a part of Kimlasca.
Re: [Voice]
But won't it be lots of work, ruling two places?
[Voice]
Re: [Voice]
[Voice]
Natalia's got a lot of people willing to help her. Even me!
Re: [Voice]
[Voice]
It's the same for Natalia, too. She probably wouldn't be able to be as good of a princess without her friends around!
[Luke's first instinct is to doubt her own words, because Natalia's such a strong princess... But he remembers those times when he had to step in and defend her, when she had to rely on her friends to get her through such terrible times. Still... She's strong, and Luke knows it.]
... But she's still a really good princess. She doesn't need us too much.
