The first lieutenant is the captain's right-hand man, so to speak. When the captain doesn't know what to do, he asks his first lieutenant. The first lieutenant will also take over if the captain is unwell or unfit, and he'll make sure all the other officers are doing their duty.

Of course it tastes good! It tastes like meat, but you don't have to worry about it going bad.

[Fff, way to make the kid feel flustered. Saphir blushes, but begins to slowly feel more and more comfortable. Maybe this little girl wasn't so bad.]

I made a music box for Nephry once! A-And I tried to make something that would fly, but it didn't really stay up that well. [Because Peony broke one of the little propellers, the jerk.] But I like making fonbots the best! When I grow up, I wanna make a really big one!
