After a few months of motherlessness and a whole two years of it back home, she finally feels some awful contentment that she'd been longing for since her father had passed—no, she wasn't aware of this, but it was still there. What kinda things can you talk to at home? Can you—[gasp!]—can anyone talk to the animals? That'd be so cool, to talk to kitties and the puppies! I wanna do that, too...

But I also wanna learn how to ride my bike with only two wheels...
