16th Teddy Bear [Video]

[Sup, guys! Elicia is running a-muck at home and is probably going to implode from sheer joy of having two (2) parents here now. After a few months of motherlessness and a whole two years of it back home, she finally feels some awful contentment that she'd been longing for since her father had passed—no, she wasn't aware of this, but it was still there. And it felt so wonderful.]

Hiiii, new people! I'm Elicia, and I'm 5! Are you guys doing okay? Are you getting all your vegetables and clothes and houses okay?

[Aaaaand of course, she's been also talking to people as usual. And as usual, she's got far too many questions to contain herself.

So in her video is a jumble of 8D and questions.]

Hey, hey! Luceti's a really special place, right? 'Cause lots of people here come from different places and stuff! I met someone who can talk to clouds! Didja' know you can do that? They're really high up and maybe they're kinda hard to hear, but you can speak to them, if you try real hard...

What kinda things can you talk to at home? Can you—[gasp!]—can anyone talk to the animals? That'd be so cool, to talk to kitties and the puppies! I wanna do that, too...

But I also wanna learn how to ride my bike with only two wheels...

[She's got her head in the clouds for a moment, because which of these is more important to come first...

but then she remembers the most important thing EVER.]

OH!!

[THE EXCITEMENT IS PALPABLE.]

And guess what? Guess what?!

Mama's here now!

My mama's really here! So you guys gotta be really nice, 'cause she's really nice. And if you ask her and you're real polite, she might make you her pie; it's the bestest pie there is! Her name's Gracia, and she's got short hair and a pretty smile...

[She makes her most suitable giggle-face for this situation. Honestly, she just can't help it. It is a good week in Luceti. ;3;]

[AWWWWWWW!]

Well, Boots, there's a difference between something tasting good and it being good for you. Whenever you're made to take medicine, doesn't it taste like rubbish?
simplestgift: (not history that concerns me)

[personal profile] simplestgift 2011-01-18 03:13 am (UTC)(link)
That's my point exactly. If it tastes terrible, it's because it's good for you. Therefore, if beer is utterly appalling, it must be especially good for you, don't you think?
simplestgift: (riiiiiight)

Are you saying you don't believe me? [He sounds playful.]

I shouldn't have to. I'm a grown-up, and I know these sorts of things. Besides, can you tell me why vegetables are good for you?
simplestgift: (sidelong sarcastic)

[...Is he losing an argument with a child?]

Well, instead of eating sweet stuff, then, you could eat more meat. And drink a little beer. I'm sure you're old enough.

[It's time to quit.]

You're also brighter than I was at your age. Your papa and mama are right, Boots, I'm just playing.

They sound like intellectual giants, Miss. I am honored to speak with their daughter.
simplestgift: (proud smile)

Intellectually, Boots. They're so smart, they tower over everyone else. Not physically, though. Just with their brains.

[He's not sure if she gets it, but she's so damn cute he doesn't really care.]
simplestgift: (Hyep.)

A dozen is twelve? I'd no idea!
simplestgift: (worried)

[personal profile] simplestgift 2011-01-22 06:02 am (UTC)(link)
[Now she's asking a question he doesn't actually know the answer to, so...]

Well, seeing as how your parents are intellectual giants, wouldn't they know?
simplestgift: (Concerned or thoughtful)

That is a strange name! That's twelve times twelve, you know. One gross.

[personal profile] simplestgift 2011-01-23 03:35 pm (UTC)(link)
I do indeed, Boots. I had to learn all sorts of arithmetic to be in the military.
simplestgift: (riiiiiight)

[personal profile] simplestgift 2011-01-24 04:22 am (UTC)(link)
You have to work very hard indeed. Do you think you can work that hard, and be in the military, Boots?
