[Elicia woke up, stretched with a wide yawn, and then discovered sleepily that it was cold and her bed was a ~~familiar~~ tree log. Oh—

Oh, they let her go...! She remembers being confined to a cell, but they hadn't really done much but feed her really nasty food. And give her nasty syrup. So when she starts walking through the forest, she finds they actually gave her shoes and a long-sleeve for her troubles. Her hair was let down from the usual pigtails, giving a little extra protection for her ears. So... she was actually doing pretty well.

Hm. Which way was home...

She puts on her best brave face and opens her journal.]

I'm sorry I got lost, but the bad guys let me go... Papa, are you there? Don't worry! I'm okay! I was really brave!

[The sudden realization that she's okay and back in a safer place brings a few tears to her eyes, and she wipes them away.]

I'm sorry I left, but I'm here, s-so... I wanna go home now.

That's good. It'll serve you well when you're older. Both of my parents were good at learning and remembering things and I must have gotten it from them as well.

I started it at home, but then I had to start again here~! But that's okay, because school is really really fun!

Class time is one of my favourite parts of the day. I love learning all I can about as much as possible. I miss my classes back home, but the ones here are absolutely fascinating.

What's your favourite part of school so far?

I really like art! 'Cause you get to do whatever's in your head, and you don't have to worry about getting any right answers!

I was never very good at art, but I'm glad they're letting you take that class. It's an underrated ability, I think. [Sometimes.]

Ooooh...!

What's underrated mean?

It means it isn't given the attention it deserves. Artists aren't often thought of in a favourable light where I'm from, but I think as long as it's a passion, it ought to be developed.

[Okay, so art like Luna's crazy... whatever they are things are another story because they aren't real. Even if she does miss Luna.]

Art's so fun, though! Everyone can do it, even if they don't think they can, 'cause you can do more than draw stuff!

What else can you do, then?

Well, if you have beads and stuff like that, you can even make jewelry! Real pretty jewelry, too!

I'm certain most girls would like all kinds of jewelry. [Reminds her of the necklace Ron got her that she's wearing.] I wonder if the Malnosso would give us things like that in the shops.

They gave me my big white teddy, so I think they give back all sorts of things, even necklaces and bracelets and pretty earrings!

That's true. I suppose anything is possible. We'll just have to look!

Yep! And then maybe I'll find a picture of me and mama and papa, too~!
