If you are, then you'd better watch out—from behind, a figure leaps from the corner, fake aluminum and cardboard sword in hand! Who could it be but the most devilish of all villains...!]

[Yes, it's Elicia donning pirate wear! Or, at least, an eyepatch and a saber. Close enough, right? She's been hearing an awful lot about pirates, and with this whole 'Halloween' thing coming up, she has a lot to think about! :U]

Ooooh! Can you fight with swords and throw koo-dai and shoot arrows? With bows!!

That's still good, though! I don't know how to do any!

But Mr. Longshot said he'll teach me when I'm this many~!

He found me when I first came here! I was alone in the forest, so he helped me back here to big brother Al and papa.

He's a really nice person.

Yeah, I guess so. But not much of a talker, huh?

Nah, he didn't talk a whole lot. He said he didn't like to!

[Er, well, 'shook his head no' that he didn't like to. But whatever.]

Yeah. He probably thinks the silent archer thing makes him look cool.

But it does! Even his umbrella hat is kinda' cool~!

And I like his cape! It's all... foooosh and windy!

You do? Really? Huh.... [It IS kind of fooshy...]

Yeah! And when you run around, capes float around behind you and make you look like a hero!

[markofthewise]

Yeah... like Batman!

[She blinks, leaning in.]

Batman??

Yeah, he's in the Justice League. Dresses all in black. He lurks in the shadows... and catches bad guys like that.

Y-you mean... he's like a superhero?

[markofthewise]

I think that's what he's called, yeah.

[asobouyo]

Aw, I hope I get to meet him!! He must be a really brave person! And really tough!

Are there lots of superheroes here??

Superman and Wonder Woman, I guess.

[asobouyo]

Waaa, a girl superhero?! That's so cool!

What can they do? Can they fly?

Wonder Woman can. I think Superman can, but I've never really seen him in action.

[asobouyo]

Oooo... are they nice people?

[A shrug.]

Yeah, I guess so. But you know, they'd probably wouldn't be too happy about you being a pirate. Maybe you should consider a change in career.

I'm not really a pirate, mister. I'm playing pretend.
