[Are you walking though a certain hallway in CH4, Floor 6? Or are you passing casually by the front of the school? If you are, then you'd better watch out—from behind, a figure leaps from the corner, ~~fake aluminum and cardboard~~ sword in hand! Who could it be but the most devilish of all villains...!]

Yaaaargh, gimme all your valurables!

[Yes, it's Elicia donning pirate wear! Or, at least, an eyepatch and a saber. Close enough, right? She's been hearing an awful lot about pirates, and with this whole 'Halloween' thing coming up, she has a lot to think about! :U]

Oh, I have a few kinds. Apple cinnamon, banana, pumpkin, blueberry....

... They make... pumpkin muffins?? But what about the seeds? They taste icky...

But how do they use pumpkins?? They're all tough and hard to cut.

Yes, but on the inside they're soft. That's the part they use, once they're cut open...minus the seeds.

[HECK YESSS! Sure, she doesn't get the whole 'no money needed' thing, but still. So nice. :')]

[Rydia chuckles, taking out another one.]

Why not? I still have plenty. Besides, it's nice to share.

You're right! Mama and papa always say that sharing is good..

[She smiles.]

I'll make sure I make something for you in return! That's what you're supposed to do if someone gives you something.

[Wait wait let her think of what her teacher used to say—]

[She can't help but grin at that.]

I won't mind...as long as it's not going outside your pirate code. But pirates can do whatever they want, right?

...and if you see a man with dragon armor around, say hi? I think he ought to meet more pirates.

Yes, he is! They're called dragoons in my world, because of their armor and their ties with dragons. I'm sure he can tell you all about that.

Wooow... is he... like a hero from the storybooks? There are lots here in Luceti...

Well...Kain doesn't think so.

[She leans in, voice lowering.]

But he did help save my world. That has to count for something, right?

Of course it does! 'Cause it takes more than one person to do something that big, right?

[Kain is approaching the area, coincidentally enough. He slows down on seeing Rydia with the small child in... a pirate outfit...? For a while, he just stops and watches the two of them.]

[Rydia nods cheerfully to the little girl.]

That's very true. It took a lot of us. I--

[Upon shifting her bag to her other arm, she glances around and catches sight of the dragoon. Instantly, there's a warm smile just for him.]

Speaking of which....

[Elicia turns her attention to where Rydia is looking and beams. Have a wave in your direction, Kain!]

Hiiii, Mr. Kaaain! I like your armoooor!!

[Kain stares at her, then to Rydia with a "did you put her up to this?" kind of look, and then back to the child. After a moment, he mouths the words, "Thank you."]

[Glancing down to Elicia, she chuckles.]

I like it, too.

[Rydia's grin says it all when she looks back to him. Sorry, Kain.]

Kain, this is Elicia. I was just telling her about home, a little.

Is it true you helped save the world, once?!

[Kain is still in shock by the girl's enthusiasm- toward him of all people. After a moment, he finds himself nodding. It's... only the truth.]

[Poor Kain. It's such a surprise to deal with someone who likes him, for a change! She chuckles at Elicia's enthusiasm.]

I told you, didn't I? Though we had to go to the moon to do it....

Oh yeah!

You really went to the moon, too, Mr. Kain? How did you do that??
