[Something was really, really different. You didn't have to be a grown-up to tell people were turning into stuff. But Elicia—of course, being Elicia—never considered she'd be one of the ones on the list of the changed. After school she went home, and then... poof. Different. She felt it. And with good reason: under her normal clothes was a layer of red and black much like a different 'person' from her world. Her hair was suddenly pitch black on her head, and her the pupils of her eyes were no longer rounded, but sharp like a snake's. And purple.

And had she any mind to check further, a blood-red tattoo had formed over the bumps of her tongue. With it came an intense hunger. Scared as she was to show her papa and sis, she snuck out of her room and into the kitchen. And then sat down and began to eat the entire box of cereal. And then ate an entire box of cookies. And... then ate an entire box of leftover pasta. Hey, she wasn't gonna... but it looked good, okay?!

Soon there were boxes littering the floor.

Still, so hungry... :'| ]

I feel really funny... Is it 'cause there are people turning into animals and stuff? I saw some on the way home, and then I turned funny, too! See? My hair's a funny color, now! And I got funny eyes, now... I like my other eyes better...

[A pause. Sniffle, sniff.]

A-and it's making me really hungry...! But I already ate lots of food, a-and I don't know why I'm still hungry...

[If you need her, she'll be in the front yard a few hours later, looking a little miserable. In fact, it's so overwhelming, she'll sneak out of the house at around 9:00—bedtime's hour—and go to the grocery store, where she'll proceed to hide out near the back and eat snacks. Mainly sweets, because darn it they taste so good ;~; Where is this food all fitting? It's a mystery ~~unless you watched FMA~~ .

Will she get back in time to not give her father a heart-attack? That depends on the people who find her, if papa notices, and ~~Dani~~ if she's as good a ninja as she is a gluttonous homunculus. Have no fear, she's not the people-eating type that Gluttony is. |Db

((ooc: I figure since ~homunculus~ is vague in FMA canon and wouldn't make any sense to be JUST that, Elicia'll be a Gluttony homunculus, since they need a sin to go with them. Replies will be coming from

[And at that, she very slowly crawls herself out from under the shelf, eyes downcast and not able to meet his despite the calmness of his voice. Don't you know, I wasn't good today?

While she wipes off any straying tears with the back of one hand, though, she does feel an apology of some sort is in order. So she leans in and wraps her arms around him after a beat, still shaky in the chest because she's still letting her initially panicked crying subside.]

... I'm sorry, I'm real real sorry...

[When she crawls out, the long-held breath of tension breaks with a barely audible, relieved sigh. And he wraps an arm around her small shoulders until his hand settles on her head.

Child, you will be the death of him.]

Maah maah, I told you. I'm not angry. [This is beyond her. No idiot here would dare blame this on a little girl] You're just hungry, right?

I'll tell you what - the next time it gets this bad, you can call me on the journals. I'll come by and make something especially for you~!

[Hugs are a funny thing. It's hard for her to stay so distraught in the middle of one.

Maybe because... it's just so warm, always.

Her voice is a little muffled, but it'll come through more or less.]

You will...? Really?

Absolutely~! I'd never turn down a little lady in need. [Said little lady is getting picked up as Sanji stands]

But first, I think we need to get you home.

[She stays close, chin on his shoulder, and nods hesitantly into it. Home is a good idea. But still... ]

I'm hungry...

Well then.

Why not get some snacks for the road? [Sanji is sensing a lot of snacks will be needed to get through this week]

[She nods again, pulling back to look at him. It's a step from looking at the floor, right? A pause.]

Maybe I'm always hungry 'cause I got a funny sign on my tongue. Maybe it's tickling my taste boards!

[Nod, nod, she's such a bobblehead doll today. And then she sticks out her tongue to show them the ouroboros tattoo.]

[A stare, and then he fights back a frown. He has no clue what the symbol signifies, but certainly doesn't approve of it being on Elicia.]

Elicia-chan might be on to something. [Walking now, grabbing a grocery basket on his way] Does it feel funny?

Nuh-uh! It doesn't feel funny at all!

[She leans in once more to 'rest', though... she's not sleepy. Not at all.]

Even though I'm hungry all the time, I feel fine! And I never ever get full, 'cause I drank a whole thing of milk and then I ate all the stuff in the cold part on top of the 'fridgerator and then I ate all the pepper!

[THE HORROR]

[You... ate the pepper. And an entire carton of--

It's becoming eerily apparent how far this hunger stretches, in ways that makes the chef's teeth clench in his mouth. And Sanji would wish she didn't have to know what it feels like, if it'd do anything to help.]

Wow, that is a lot! [He just keeps smiling, like this is normal and healthy for a girl her age] Maybe you're hitting a growth spurt, too.

Mmhm... but you know what was really weird?

[The image of her holding a can and biting the lid not only off, but into her tummy, comes to mind. And Sanji's smiling, carefree replies only make it easier for her to admit all of these entirely hideous things, despite the fact that she feels it's wrong, against her desire to believe everything he was saying.

A beat, when she second-guesses his smile, and squeezes the fabric of his shirt comfortingly.]

Nevermind, I forgot what I was gonna say!

What should we get to eat, big bro?

[Young lady, are you lying to him?

... Ha. And he can't call her out on it without possibly reversing all that effort it took to calm her down. Still, he hums knowingly, acknowledging the secret and letting her get away with it. For now.]

Well, what would Elicia-chan like~? [Because there's a lot of food to choose from] Maybe her favorite food?

[Cut me some lying slack, I need it.]

And lots of pizza!!

[She nods, though it's obviously a little nervous. Can she just creep back through her window? :'|

Also, she looks thoughtful for a moment.]

I'll walk by myself if you want, big bro. I'm not tired or nothin', so you don't gotta carry me all the way home...

[Not a chance. Daddy Dearest needs to know where his daughter's been u_u]

You're sure? [He admits she doesn't look tired. Reluctantly, he lets her down]
