This is a personal appointment post for anyone who wants to contact Elicia Hughes (asobouyo ) without going to the trouble of setting up a log/journal; as I'll say with all my characters, if you have any reason to contact her at all, go right ahead here! Voice, Video, Written, or Action is completely acceptable. Just keep in mind that she's at school at certain times on weekdays (it's sketchy enough to say 'after school' or before or what have you)!

Please put the the month and the type of communication—i.e. [March 29th][Action], or anything in that sort of way—in the subject line (putting why you're there is totally optional; I'm sure I'll figure it out through the character eventually. |D).

[They're out of groceries at the apartment. Since he needed to head into town anyways, Shikamaru decided to bring a few things along with him to drop off at the item shop. The games at Lucetiland were fun, but it's not like he's a kid or anything. He doesn't need all these dinky prizes. 8|

So with the toys tossed into a small sack carried over his shoulder, Shikamaru heads into town, enjoying the weather. For an August day, it's not especially warm. He'd sit down and enjoy it a little more, if not for-]

[And hark! As Shikamaru passes the school he may notice a despairing little girl with a doll in her hands near the front doors. Tears? What are tears? The river down each eye? Don't be silly. ;u;

Okay, no. He stops, taking a few casual steps towards the front of the school.] Oi! You okay?

[She shakes her head at that, before holding up her doll. She's got a dangling leg, barely held by stitching that is not doing too good across her spine.]

I got her stuck on a nail and she got ripped... a-and now it's getting worse!!

[Okay, so far so good - annnd there's the girl. What's her name? Elicia? He goes ragdoll again, the dopey smile on his face fixed in place as she swings him around.]

[Mithos had been dropped off by Frey and now stands nice and bundled up outside with his new friend Elicia, ready to make snowmen. He's really excited for his first official playdate. He loves playing with his big sister, and he's had fun playing with Kaori and Frey, but he's never played with another kid before. This is a very important day in his life!

Do you know how to make really good snowpeople? I made lots and lots, and they guard the house! But there can always be more, just in case!

[Loki thinks it unlikely Elicia will be going outside today. So he bides his time, waiting and watching, listening for what might be going on in the house. When he's certain she's in her room, he walks through the wall, only becoming visible once he's confirmed she's alone.

He looks better than he did - gods bounce back quickly - but his left arm is in a sling, tucked under his coat. Wordlessly, he offers her a little yellow wildflower that he picked on the way over.]



(ooc: response can obviously wait until everyone has told Elicia what a bad, bad man Loki is, but I thought I'd get this in here as a placeholder.)

[When he appears, she visibly tenses, eyes red-rimmed and dry; she didn't expect him to come here, especially not today. Not to soon. She folds her hands nervously in front of her, looking from the flower to him. Assessing. After a worrying pause, she takes the small offering, brow furrowed.]

Mr. Loki, are you okay?

[She has questions. Lots of them. But for now, step one.]

[He relaxes, just a little, when Elicia takes the flower. He slowly crouches down so they're a bit more on the level.]

Lady LeBlanc took very good care of me.

[He waves his right hand vaguely toward the sling that still has his left arm captive.]

I'll be right as rain in a week. And what of you, dearest Elicia? Are you all right?

Good.... I'm okay...

[She nods. It's hesitant, because... well. An adult wouldn't know where to begin, let alone her. She has a lot of thoughts and none of them are easy to categorize in priority. She looks him in the eye, and there's definite disappointment. But she doesn't run away, or raise her voice. She's still very tired from the flip-flopping her emotions are throwing.]

... Did you really hurt people where you're from?

[She wants honestly, Mr. Loki. Even if you're a good liar sometimes.]

[As soon, as soon as he was done discussing with Adele and the others, as soon as he was able after he found out she was involved, he heads to her house, tense and nearly frantic. Anger really hasn't even had a chance to settle in yet--not even remotely. For now, he's upset. Panicked, even. And priority one is seeing Elicia. Doing anything he can for her.

Because, god. What else can he do? He has to take up the mantle of being a hero unlike his usual suit of armor yet again.

Why her? Why was it always her losing parents and getting hurt and ending up in the worst possible situations, why couldn't he have been there to stop this, why her--

At house 23, he knocks quickly. Hopefully whoever answers won't protest Elicia's hero coming to see her.]

[Tony, come on in. Lead to her room? She's sitting at her small table looking at a pad of paper, making dots. She's not really, uh... sure what to draw, right now. Considering the whole 'hero' thing isn't panning out, and she's worried about her new friend, and everyone seems so serious, and she's still a little scared and hurt--

She looks up, but she knows Tony knows, so she closes her mouth and just frowns, waiting...]

... Are you here to take away my certificate?

[He knew this wasn't going to be easy.

But then she comes out of the starting gate with a question like that.

And suddenly, he feels impossibly tired.

He regards her with a sad, sorry kind of smile, before he steps over to her little table and takes a seat himself. The chair is small and he might look ridiculous, but he doesn't care.]

From what I hear, you were very brave today. If anything, that's earned you some extra stars.

[I hope this is okay. He promised Winry and Pepper he'd come apologise.]

[He really can't put it off any longer, not after speaking with Elicia's guardian and having Pepper ask him about it. So he's here now after school, having checked with her guardian, and carrying the stuffed toy that he'd got for her. As promised, he's come completely unarmed.

How exactly do you start a conversation with a kid who got caught up in a botched assassination attempt anyway?]

[She's in her room reading a rather big story book when he comes by. Looking up, she doesn't quite know who this is; she knows a lot, but not the face. Not until know. So she just stares with big curious eyes—a stuffed toy?]

[As per this discussion, Marco sets out to quickly write a note to Elicia before he forgets. This is just as well, since during the fourth wall break, he was almost doomed to forget. That said, he pretends (poorly) that this all from Ikki. Though if Elicia never met Ikki, that'd work just fine. Don't mind the ridiculous sparkly blue ink he writes it in though. Marco likes to add pizzazz. At least he didn't decide to draw her a picture. Mostly just because he knew no one would ever believe Ikki had written that.]

Dear Elicia,

My name is Phoenix Ikki! Greetings.

I've been in Luceti for a couple of years now, and I live with a grumpy marine. It's all right though, I have a great girlfriend who loves books and a wolf pup who loves people. He's always dragging me out to meet people which is probably just as well because I wouldn't meet anyone other than Smoker and Kotomi-chan anyway. Actually, Hyoga, my dog, is how I met Kotomi-chan anyway, so I probably wouldn't have met anyone.

I'm a phoenix.

Do you have legends about phoenixes in your world? They're a type of resurrecting bird in mine. My flames are red and orange, but I have another phoenix friend with blue flames. Mine can burn though, but his sparkle.

I have a little brother I adore very much, but sadly, he's not in Luceti yet. Maybe someday. Do you have any family members you are close with? How about hobbies? What's your favorite food?

I don't like cookies, because I'm not five years old, but I know other phoenixes insist they are really good and that Little Ikki makes great cookies.

Dear Ikki!!

Hi!! I don't think there's phoenixes in my world, but that sounds really cool! How do they have fire without burning themself? I know someone who could make fire by snapping his fingers, but he's not here.

I used to have my mama and papa here, but they went away, so I'm waiting and I hope they'll come back soon. Because I miss them a lot. But I'm also really close to my sister Winry--she's not my real sister, but she is anyway. Cuz blood's not important. Edward's my big bro and so's Sanji, too! I have lots of brothers and sisters.

My hobbies are drawing and playing pretend! I like pretending, but not lots of grown-ups do that anymore. My favorite food is good food! But I like pie a lot, too...

Do you like pie? My mama made pie really great, and now my big sis is learning how to make really good pie too. Are you learning anything while you're here?

[Oh man this is fun! Although it's getting harder for him to pretend to be Ikki, but he'll keep at it!]

Dear Elicia,

Phoenixes have special flames that let them regenerate! In my case, I've come back from the dead a couple of times, but unfortunately my flames don't let me heal anyone else, but I wish they could. I also know a guy here who can create fire with the snap of his fingers! His name is Ace! Have you ever met him? He wears a ridiculous cowboy hat and has freckles. And he's friends with Sanji too.

You're right though! Blood doesn't matter at all! Family is who you're close to, so long as you love and protect each other. I'm sorry about your parents, but I'm glad you have awesome siblings here to look after you.

You like drawing too? It can be a lot of fun! Are you in the art club that Rapunzel and Little Ikki run? I think you might enjoy that very much!

When you play pretend, what do you like to pretend to be? When it's cold like this I like to make snowmen and pretend they're all soldiers! Someday I want to make a snow dragon, but I think I'd need help getting the design right, I'm not great at art, but I like to give it my best.

My favorite food is sunflower seeds, but I love pie too! Lemon meringue is my favorite! Do you have a favorite pie? I like to practice cooking sometimes so that I can feed my brother if he ever shows up again. My favorite thing to cook is fish and meat because he can really eat a lot of that.
