Not at first. The Beast had to be distracted so everything could work. That Terumi guy suggested a real stupid idea, but Bloodedge was a nice guy. He went with it.

So Bloodedge let himself get eaten by it to fight it from the inside. [Sigh.] If it weren't for Teurmi's idea, Bloodedge would have gotten eaten, but it worked.

And then they defeated it and saved the world. [He's totally not changing important details to make Terumi look like a dumbass. Nope.]
