Well, back in Nippon, where I'm from, our years are based on the zodiac animals. There's the Dragon, Rat, Dog, Boar, Monkey, Horse, Rabbit, Snake, Rooster, Sheep, Tiger, and Ox. The Cat is excluded from the zodiac, but we still worship him as a very important god. [That's another story, for another time.]
