22nd Teddy Bear [Video/Action]

Hi! I'm Doctor Eli—u-uhm, Doctor Hughes!! But everyone calls my papa Hughes, s-so don't mix us up! Maybe it should be Doctor Elicia! Do you think that's okay? 'Cause I know everyone calls lots of teachers and doctors by their lastest name, but I don't really like that as much as using normal names!

[Hmmm... O-OH, right—]

I've been learning about how to be a good doctor! So I'm gonna teach about stuff, so I can learn and get better at being a doctor; I think that's what I'm gonna be when I'm a growed-up!

[She'll proceed to whip out her pad of colorful construction paper to show this:

... Yep. She points to him—specifically, his face.]

This is where you have a brain! It thinks for you, and that's where aaaall the numbers and letters you know go. But you gotta be careful, 'cause if you bump your head you could get dizzy and lose some numbers, and that's not good, okay? And here's where your heart is! It keeps your blood warm! And it's how you love people!

And this is where your funny bone is! You gotta be careful not to hit it, 'cause even if it makes you laugh lots, you'll probably get a bruise. If you get a bruise you should find me, and I'll heal it all better, promise. [Hmmm, what else, what else] If you hurt your bone real real bad, make sure you get it put straight, or else it'll hurt and hurt and you won't be able to use pencils and paper no more.

Your tummy's where you keep your food, and if you get sick, you should feed your tummy medicine.

[... A beat. And she's studying that poster of hers INTENSELY.]

... O-oh!!

[She leans out of view, and scribbles something. When she pops back up with the picture, you'll find that the four-fingered drawing now has five fingers on each hand. She giggles at that.]

You don't only have that many fingers always. But some people might, so you never ever know!

Does anyone have questions? I can answer them!

O-oh! And big sis, I gotta have a babing-suit real soon! Isn't it gonna get sunny? We all gotta go to the beach!

[And her voice fades out at the end, while she's closing the journal, to go see Winry and papa concerning her shopping for beach-going things. Because we need beach stuff, papa. 3:^(

Following her doctor's video, Elicia'll be in the Rockbell front yard as usual, playing around with her toys. Of course, when her ball gets stuck in that tree over there, she knows what must be done. BRB scaling this tree over here... ooonly to get stuck in it. She sits with her ball in one hand and a tree branch in the other, frowning down at the ground. How to get herself out of this one...

Geez, the last tree climbing wasn't so bad, huff. :|

If you DO walk by, you might notice a little girl turned away from you, stuck in a tree, talking to... the air? Huh?]

So then I just closed my eyes and sang songs, and I wasn't even scared of the dark no more, 'cause I wasn't even looking at it and it wasn't all quiet 'cause I was singing...!

((ooc: replying a little bit tonight, and then tomorrow after a harrowing driver's test :'|))

...I suppose that's why we all wanted to become doctors at one point or another.

[But then he decides it's harmless. Children flit from one ambition to the other like a butterfly in a field of flowers. Today your goal might be medicine; tomorrow it might be growing up to become a cowboy or an astronaut. Or a stock broker--whatever it is kids find alluring these days.] Have you considered what your specialty might be?

[A hum of confirmation.] When you go to school, you have to learn everything about medicine to get your license. But sometimes young physicians such as yourself decide they want to help their patients in a particular way.

There are heart doctors, eye doctors, and doctors who work with women and children. [He smiles.] There are even doctors who work with people's feet.

[An evil one.] General practice, dear. I try to treat all illnesses in men, women and children.

[He laughs again.] What an enthusiastic child.

...If you don't lose that passion, you will go very far. And, of course, if you study very hard.

And who might that be? Another doctor here?

Really?

...And would you know where to find this enchanting woman?

[Like God, he thinks to himself and thankfully doesn't say aloud. But he doesn't believe in God--he would have to check his sources to see if this spirit was even real.]

Thank you, dear. You've given me a lot to think about.
