[An hour or so after bed, Elicia hears something creak. It's harmless and probably something like a tree scratching something, or a mouse finding its way. But it sparks a barrage of images within this small child's brain that would probably make a therapist shake their heads. Things like floating objects and scary figures and things under her bed oh god. Acute paranoia tonight, this one. So she speaks in a really low whisper as though she's on a secret mission, hidden up to her ears in blanket. Must be a nice windy winter night.]

Um....

Are ghosts real? They aren't, right? But—But I guess good ghosts are okay! Do those count? Are they real either?

[Her eyes dart from one side of the room to the other, and she's totally expecting something scary to happen on one side or the other. Any minute now. No, no, be brave, there's nothing going on. Nothing at aaaaall. ;~;

Gulp.]

No, he's a fighter, in general. He fights anything, ghosts, demons, bad people, evil aliens... Evil robots too.

[And clones and chewing gums. Oh, and deities, but she doesn't know that yet.]

He's the strongest guy in my world, in the whole universe. So those things are nothing but warm ups for him.

He's super indeed, a Super Saiyan... Ah, a Saiyan is what his species is called, like you're a human, understand?

That's right, he's from planet Vegeta, but he was raised on Earth since he was a baby. We didn't know he was from another planet until he was an adult!

He's a alien?

Yup! But he looks like any human would. Except for a funny hairdo that never changes. He had a monkey tail when he was little but we cut that.

It was a bit troublesome... Because of it he transformed into a giant monkey, taller than even the community buildings here, and started to destroy everything whenever he looked at the full moon. It was either destroy the moon or cut the tail, and Kami liked to have a moon so my friend had to lose the tail.

Though the moon still got destroyed years later...

Oh gosh, then it's a good thing he doesn't have his tail... Turning into a big monkey would be bad in Luceti, 'cause there's not a lot of room to move around...

Not to mention that he would destroy everything and probably hurt people without wanting to.

No, he can't. He lost consciousness every time and became just like an animal guided on instincts. And not the type of animal that you can tame and calm down.

I think it would be possible for him to transform and not lose consciousness, thus staying in control and not hurting anyone, but... It's moot point now.

It is? 'Cause his tail's gone?

Yes and it won't grow back anymore so he can't transform.

[... There's Vegeta but she hasn't seen him growing it back.]

That's good! I bet he's a lot happier not turning into a big scary monkey!

Yes, he no longer runs the risk of hurting those he loves.

[Not that Goku was ever aware enough to be scared of it, because no one told him. When he learned it he was an adult and it had been long since he could transform. Though part of her still thinks it would have been better if he never learned it, even if he was mature enough to get it well.]

They're making skritchy scratchy noises on the walls, but I can't see them!

Oh, that sounds mischievous, you sure the noise comes from the inside of the room? Maybe it's on the other side of the wall and that's why you can't see them.

Then the ghosts are outside trying to get in!!

But if they are trying to get in, it's because they can't, right? Ghosts can go through walls and objects, if they aren't in yet it must be because your room is protected against them!
